Ein e-BODE ist eine Rückzugsort in einer hektischen Welt und der perfekte Hintergrund für die wechselnden Situationen des Familienlebens.

Die Grundmodule bestehen aus Stahlrahmen um auch bei dem Transport Stabilität zu gewährleisten. Die Paneele der Außenverkleidung, feste Wände, Lüftungsfenster und Türen werden in der Fabrik mit dem Rahmen verbunden. Der Innenausbau wird dann sorgsam integiert, bevor das Modul zur Auslieferung auf einen Tieflader verlagert wird. Das große freischwebende Dach wird als separates Element geliefert, ebenso wie die Verandadecks. Die einfache leichte Stützkonstruktion wird durch vorfabrizierte Verbindungselemente vor Ort angebracht.

Das e-BODE beinhaltet raumhohe Verglasungen, Bad und Küche, hohe Decken, Holzböden und eine umlaufende Terrasse die einen integralen Bestandteil des Wohnraumes bildet. Jedes Modul misst 3,6 m x 14,4 m und bietet eine innere Nutzfläche von 50 qm. Ein Einzelmodul könnte als Wochenendhaus/ Ferienhaus, Gästehaus im Garten, als Büro genutzt werden. Ein e-BODE, das aus zwei oder mehr Modulen besteht bildet ein Haus für eine größere Familie.

Die Module werden auf elegante Weise durch die Elemente eines separaten überspannten Daches geschützt, welches entwickelt wurde, um Regenwasser abzuleiten und die Wohnräume und die Terrasse vor Sonne zu schützen.

MODABODE wurde 2004 von den Architekten Paul Lucas und Sarah Bickford entwickelt.

As an architect in a Minneapolis firm, Geoffrey Warner became impatient with “business-as-usual” thinking. So in 1989, he did what anyone would do (right?): he quit his job to get real, hands-on experience. Literally. He constructed buildings, furnishings, lighting, and artful fabrications using a variety of materials and hand-, machine-, and CAD-based processes. Concentrating on art and industry while maximizing the impact of modest budgets through creative construction technologies, he honed his sense of “tightwad panache.”

Alchemy’s completion of the weeHouse in 2003, then just an inexpensive prefab cabin, gained international attention as a symbol of architectural optimism. Since then, Alchemy has widened its scope, developing the weeHouse as a prefabricated answer for cabins, houses, offices, rooftop studios, and multi-dwelling developments.

By launching this weeHouse line, Alchemy is able to provide the benefits of pre-design and prefabrication and bring sustainable, modern houses to more people more affordably.

The Joshua Tree, an elegant steel-clad prefab cabin created by Italian design group, Hangar, can be transported anywhere and set up quickly and easily.

The cabin is a mountain refuge, with a wooden interior reminiscent of a Swedish sauna. Its small dimensions (400 sq ft) manage to squeeze in two bedrooms, a small kitchen and bathrooms. Alternatively you can customize it to suit your needs.

The cabin’s metallic exterior is designed to reflect the colors that surround it, while large Velux windows bring exterior views inside. Hangar Gesign Group has also designed two other mini-homes, the more boxy Icaro Bay and Suite Home, which cost less than 70,000 euros each. Just sling one on the back of your truck and go.
